A passionate communicator and leader, Mary-Elsie sees investing in people and Orléans’ future—through Canada’s Recovery Plan—as a timely direction for fostering new hope and ingenuity. An experienced corporate and non-profit leader, a former member of national and international boards, she is currently involved with Mission Thrift Store (Orléans) with an environmental, community, and world literacy emphasis.
Mary-Elsie’s doctorate tackled culture and global leadership and she authored “Becoming His Story” (nominated for three national awards)—inspiring women to leadership.
After working as a national director for 8 years, acquiring field experience in Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, India and Niger, she pastored in St Catharines, partnering with initiatives for Co-op Housing and Youth at Risk, and served on her daughters’ elementary school parent council.
The Wolfe family moved to the wonderful community of Orléans in 2017. Married to her best friend, Grant, Mary-Elsie holds a Doctor of Ministry (Fuller), a Master of Divinity (Tyndale) and a bachelor of arts (Carleton, Political Science). She is currently working for a Member of Parliament and is comfortable in both official languages.
